Drug Addiction: Medically Defined

The official medical dictionary definition for "addiction" or an "addictive substance": Any substance which produces a "Withdrawal Syndrome." That's a package of affects brought about by stopping the use of such a substance, usually a chemical, or reduction of the amount of the substance being used or a failure to increase the amount of the substance being used over time as a tolerance for the substance builds and increases with continued use.
Most addictive substances alter brain chemistry function and structure. These alterations can also be correctively called, "Brain Damage." Such substances are usually designated medically as, "Mind (meaning "Brain") Altering Substances." By most "medical" definitions, the "Mind" is the "Brain," and this definition sometimes also includes the "Central Nervous System" (CNS). These definitions are important for an understanding of what the targets and goals of any chemical called "Mind Altering" actually is.
So, the "Withdrawal Syndrome" also includes the affects of the brain damage that has been done and may actually multiply any such damage caused by continued use of the substance (chemical) over time.
It should be noted here that withdrawal from the "speed type" drugs, the very ones most prescribed drugs for children in the USA, carries, "complications." According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Third Edition Revised (DSM 3R), the psychiatric industry's bible of mental illnesses, on page 131 says that, "Suicide is the Major Complication of Withdrawal," from the speed type drugs which they class as "Sympathomimetics." It should also be noted that the US Drug Enforcement Agency designates these drugs as "Class II" substances and requires special licenses to even prescribe them as they are so dangerous and addictive to consume. These are the Amphetamines and Ritalin, the favorite prescriptions for children in America. Child Suicide was virtually unheard of in the USA before these drugs were prescribed for children.
Use of such drugs depletes the child's brain of vital nutrients. The replacement of those nutrients is only the first step toward restoring proper brain function and structure for the child. Ridding the child's body of the chemicals that caused the depletion of those nutrients is also vital. Doing these things may then allow the repair of the brain damage caused by the use of the brain altering chemicals used against the child and begins the process of repairing the damage done by the use of the mind (brain) altering chemicals and will not only be found to begin the repair of any brain damage done but will
also begin to restore normal brain chemistry, function and structure, depending on the actual extent of the "brain damage" done by the drug or drugs.
Different chemicals (drugs) are intended to and do target, different areas of the brain and/or Central Nervous System. Amphetamines and amphetamine type drugs such as Ritalin (methylphenidate), target and concentrate brain damage primarily to the frontal lobes of the brain and to the cerebellum. Thus, judgment and the ability to plan and execute plans are impaired.
Many substances though not specifically labeled as "Mind Altering," are in fact, just that. For this reason, "buyers must beware." Artificial substances known most often as being for other purposes than being
"Mind Altering," can in fact alter brain chemistry, function and structure, can be addictive as well, and are capable of producing a withdrawal syndrome. These can include such items designated as "food additives," some called artificial "sweeteners," food "colorings," and, "flavor enhancers " Phenylalanine (Aspartame) and monosodium glutamate (MSG) are examples of such substances. Against all logic and proof to the contrary, the US FDA allows the use of these substances as, "safe," as they line politically correct pockets with cash.
So wherein addictive substances can appear to be in use for other and even noble purposes, they will all inevitably upon close inspection, be found to provide cash incomes to those most clear thinkers would agree, are some of the world's worst organizations and people and be found to have strewn Earth landscapes with death and destruction.
Different drugs (chemicals) attack different areas of the brain for different designated purposes. Amphetamines and Amphetamine-type drugs such as methylphenidate (Ritalin) are well known to most severely attack and damage the frontal lobes of the brain which can be seen to have measurably shrunk in size within six months or less of such drug use on children. This is a lingering and noticeable effect, measurable both physically and mentally in both children and adults. This brain damage impaires both judgment and long range planning. Thus it is a strategic target of the enemies of the long range interests of the USA.
In the USA, these are used strategically in greater abundance than in any other nation on the planet. Religious centers and groups are some of the most common, designated targets.
Children very commonly addicted by prescription to "speed-type" drugs such as amphetamines or Ritalin, while they are still pre-pubescent, will too often once exposed to them, find themselves craving "downers" such as opiates after puberty once the effects of "uppers" and "downers" reverse in their felt and perceived effects as happens to any normal person. Thus, rather than craving a drug like cocaine after being raised on "speed type" drugs (chemicals), the person is far more likely to crave and become addicted to "downer" type drugs such as "pain killers" or the many current "designer opiates" or opiates themselves. Thus, without hint or warning, large segments of the US populations have been blind-sided with heroin and other opiate addictions by design and prescription.
