This is in memory of the great jazz singer Billie Holiday who was literally stalked and hounded to death by "drug warrior" Harry Anslinger, the heavily racist founder of the modern "War on Drugs.".
Johann Hari has written and documented all of this in his book found here: ChasingtheScream.com
In 1939, Billy Holiday, the iconic American jazz star sang an anti-slavery song in New York City that came to the attention of America's top alcohol and drug enforcer, Harry Anslinger, who immediately decided to destroy Ms. Holiday and so, that day, Holiday was "ordered" by Anslinger to never sing that song again. Hear that song, "Strange Fruit," below. Not only did Billie Holiday refuse but she made the song a permanent part of her act. This made the dramatizing psychotic Mr. Anslinger fully enraged. So Anslinger began a war by against Billy Holiday in particular and Black people in general. This then was Anslinger's war which was expanded by Anslinger and other psychotics and has led to so many millions of Black people being rounded up and stuck in America's prisons that it constitutes one of the most horrific tragedies in world history. What has since been done to American Blacks is comparable to the slaughter and near complete extermination of Native Americans and the World War II German NAZI Holocaust against the Jewish People. This is very important because the race war against American Blacks is still ongoing.
Below video is an interview with the author of "Chasing The Scream", Johann Hari.
The next video is the "Strange Fruit" by Billie Holiday, the song Harry Anlinger ordered her to never sing again.
April 7, is the anniversary of Billy Holiday's birth.
In part, this sordid story is about the "American Race War" on Addicts and how it began.
